Kat aka Sunflower - Creative Nyctophiliac
I am Kat aka Sunflower born in Kazakhstan in 1983. But later moved to the UAE to call the vibrant Dubai my new home. And after almost 25 years in the desert, I am now living on the heavenly island Koh Samui in Thailand.
Russian by ethnicity, I am really cosmopolitan at heart, fluent in English, always ready to express my creativity through writing, poetry, portraiture photography or design.
My creative traits were evident since I was only 5 years old. At the time, reading, writing and telling stories became part of my life and personality. A desire to seek creative expression in music lead me to study Electronic Music Production.
And eventually I realised that my life’s passion was writing, an inclining that was only dormant, but it awakened stronger than ever. I now find comfort in writing poetry, short stories and screenplays.
Known for my dynamic personality, curious nature and for working better after sunset, I remain determined to achieve my vision: to publish my first novel, watch my screenplays come to life on a big screen, and have my own art collection featured at art galleries or an art show.

Until then, I will continue to dedicate my life to writing, designing and photography. And although the clock may mark 3 am, I can be found, wide awake, working on my next story or brainstorming a new idea.
